Do we really have to worry about psychologically unsafe work environments in PEI?

This customized program will support your team with both the tools and a facilitated roadmap to prevent escalated situations of conflict by building collaborative work environments.

Almost a third of workers in North America experience nearly constant conflict, with a whopping 85% experiencing some level of conflict in the workplace. Statistics Canada tells us over 10% of PEI workers are already at the level of stress that leads to reporting harassment.

It’s a rare workplace that doesn’t have some level of conflict. And that’s not a bad thing – effectively managed conflict can lead to positive change, innovation and strengthened relationships. When conflict is not effectively managed, however, it can lead to high levels of stress, poor communication, absence, sickness and departure from the workplace.

The need for skills and support for both managers and workers to build and contribute to healthy and collaborative workplaces is great. Paramount among the hallmarks of a psychologically healthy workplace are collaboration, effective and respectful communication, and healthy work relationships.

Training of employers and workers is the biggest driver for high-quality outcomes in these areas.

Who Is The Program For?

The program is best suited for teams of 3 to 24 with regular everyday conflicts (ie. conflict that hasn’t reached the stage of crisis.)

The program will focus on conflict prevention by building understanding and agreement, rather than on resolving high level conflict. If you aren’t sure whether the program would be suitable for your organization, I can help you decide. If it’s not, I can share other options for moving towards a workplace where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.

You Can Build And Strengthen A Collaborative Culture.

This customized 12-hour program will support your team with both the tools and a facilitated roadmap to prevent escalated situations of conflict by building collaborative work environments.

We will begin with three 2-hour online sessions focused on the foundations of a collaborative workplace. The team will work together to identify one or two best practices to implement between sessions and bring impacts and learnings to the next session.

The remaining 6-hour component of the program can be offered online as 3 separate 2-hour sessions or in person in a full day or two half day session, as determined by team needs and safety protocols in your workplace.

The focus of the final 6 hours of the program will be a facilitated collaborative process to support your team to develop agreement and an action plan for working together to build and nurture a collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Walk Away With:

Your team will finish the program with raised awareness about how to build a collaborative environment, and a team-built action plan for building and nurturing a collaborative workplace that you can continue to build on beyond the program.

I’ve trained thousands of people to use workplace collaboration skills.

Over the course of my 24-year career as a mediator and conflict trainer and coach, I’ve trained thousands of people to use a unique process that takes them from feeling uncomfortable with conflict to confident in addressing it in ways that support everyone feeling valued and appreciated, heard and understood.

During this program, your team will experience that process in a facilitated 6 hour session resulting in agreements about how to move forward in building and maintaining a collaborative workplace.

Program Cost:

The registration cost is $4995+ HST per organization (including up to 24 team members). This includes digital materials for online sessions and all materials for any in person sessions. It does not include physical space or food for in person sessions.
